2009 West Coast Paddlesports Leadership Conference

 The 3rd Annual Western
Canadian Paddlesports Leadership Conference is tentatively scheduled for April 3-5 2009. Location, dates, and pricing will be confirmed by October 31st, so check back soon.
"This is a non
denominational event", says Michael Pardy, Director of the WCPLC. "We are
bringing together folks from a variety of backgrounds with a range of skills to
foster the exchange of ideas and skills.
The goal is to continue to strengthen the quality of on water
programming for all our clients, from club members, to youth in school
programs, and adults on guided trips."
Special
themes and topics at the 2009 event include:

New Transport Canada regulations for commercial
human powered vessel;

Roles and responsibilities of volunteer leaders
in paddlesports;

Reviving the BC Marine Trail Initiative;

Equivalency between Paddle Canada and the
SKGABC;
